Are you wondering about how a session will contain? Our work at Yoga4Brain is about Mindfulness and A neurofeedback journey. It will usually take one hour. You should expect to become very relaxed and somewhat tired after training your brain.

At first, I will have you fill out a survey. We list the complaints and/or challenges that have brought you into my office.

A Typical Session

1. We talk about recent events affecting your life and your progress
2. We do some Yoga movements and stretches
3. We run a  pre baseline test and analyze your brain condition
4. We start our journey that will take 33 minutes. You will be placed in a quiet space and in a comfortable position. I will attach special sensors, using a paste to your head that will feed your brain wave patterns into a computer software.

A Mindfulness and neurofeedback training session is relaxing and enjoyable. Furthermore the talking and breathing techniques, as well as yoga and stretches, will bring you in to a relaxing stage. When we get ready for our neurofeedback journey, you will know, that you want to be in the present moment.

First of all we review the goal and what exactly to focus on. Most of all you will  accept yourself for who you are .  You do not judge the feelings.  Most noteworthy we do not judge the emotions. We understand, whatever happened in the past, is just that. It is past. At this present moment, that we are doing this training, we are not under any kind of pressure.  Typically you listen to a very nice music .

In case of children  there is a movie to watch. As the session starts, you will hear music play through headphones and perhaps watch relaxing geometric images gently morph across a computer screen. You will hear occasional “skips” or interruptions in the music – this is the signal that prompts your brain to “reset” and optimize itself.

At the end of a session, you will most likely feel less stressed and more mentally clear. It is unlikely, you will experience any negative after-effects as NeurOptimal does not artificially “push” the brain in any specific direction. Many users experience deeper sleep and vivid dreams after their very first session.
